The Air Tattoo, one of the UK's premier outdoor events, will return this summer with an extravaganza of entertainment for all the family. Alongside the thrilling flying action, visitors will be treated to non-stop entertainment on the ground – so whether a wide-eyed first timer for a seasoned airshow veteran, the experience will be breathtaking.
With over 250+ aircraft participating each year, upwards of 140,000 visitors and support from the Royal Air Force and some of the world's leading aerospace companies, the Royal International Air Tattoo has been acknowledged as not only the world's largest military airshow but also one of the UK's premier outdoor events for the whole family!
This year's themes include Diamond Jubilee marking the Queen's 60-year reign, and Skylift which include many heavyweight aircraft such as the giant military transporters.
Among the many highlights of the flying display are the US Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey, Airbus A330 Voyager, Airbus A400M, VC-10, Tristar, Typhoon, Swedish Gripen, Polish MiG-29, French Rafale & Super Etendard, Yakovlev Yak-130, Super Hornet, Belgian and Dutch F-16s.
As well as a special mass flypast of Hawks in an E II R formation, the Air Tattoo will feature seven aerobatic display teams including Al Fursan, a newly-formed team from the United Arab Emirates who'll be making their European debut at the airshow.
